E.J. Hong‘s passion for estate planning comes from her heart. She wants to protect her family and yours because her own mother died when she was 17 years old. She knows what it’s like not to have an estate plan and she would like to help you avoid this unnecessary pain.
E.J. has been practicing law since 1990 and is a member of the State Bar of CA. She has practiced law in Washington, D.C. and in CA. She earned her Law degree at Washington College of Law, The American University, Washington DC. E.J.’s professional experience includes being a clerk for a federal judge and a law firm in DC.
E.J. is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. To qualify as a Certified Specialist, one must have a minimum of 5 years of practice in the area of estate planning, demonstrate that one has extensive experience in the estate planning field, be recommended by other estate planning attorneys, pass a highly-competitive examination on the various aspects of estate planning, and be approved by the Board of Legal Specialization. Only about 3% of the thousands of attorneys in the State of California who prepare wills and living trusts are Certified Specialists in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law.

Maylene Lynch has been a member of the California Bar for over twenty years. She has focused on estate planning, trust and probate law since 2013. She seeks to meet the challenges and evolving needs of individuals and families as they grow and age. Maylene has also developed a particular interest in using her skills to help families who require special needs planning. As the parent of a child with developmental disabilities, she understands the unique requirements of families with special needs children and adults.
